The Bustletron, or Tin Man is a boss in Alien Hominid.

Alien Hominid[]

Bustletron was one of several robots sent to kill the Alien. He makes his debut as the first boss of 1-1 and faces the Alien Hominid, but is defeated and explodes afterwards.

Appearance[]

He is a simple robot, made of metal or steel and with thin arms and legs. He also has a line on his head that appears to be his eyes.

Green Tin Man

The Green Bustletron exclusive to the GBA version.

He acts as a precursor to the boss to follow. This boss is only seen on the first level of 1-1, in front of the 'Steakery Cakery', near the fence with the Newgrounds logo. This boss is extremely predictable. To start, he will enter on the right side of the screen. Start by jumping on the green awning first, then crouching and shooting the bustletron. (Once on the central building sill, you'll still have to jump in the air to avoid being hit.) Once he's returned to the right, jump to the ground and shoot him madly. Once it is back on the right side of the screen again, a cannon will replace its head. A green laser will fire at your head. When you're done, jump back on the green awning, as the laser will fire at ground level. The robot will then get up and run to the Charging Tin Man on the floor, then to the right and will shoot your laser. When the Tin Man crouches, jump back onto the sill before the cannon appears.

He then runs to the left, thus repeating the simplistic process again. It will glow green and accelerate your attacks once you lose three quarters of your health, so you will have to be more alert when the time comes. Its exclusive green variant of the advance version follows exactly the same standards.

Trivia[]

  • This boss was made into a figure along with the Main Alien, an FBI agent and 'Synji'.
  • The same boss can be seen on the cover of the GBA version, along with the main boss for the first level.
  • He is the first (mini) boss to be seen in the game.
  • In the GBA version of the game in 3-2 he is seen again, except he is green. It is assumed that it was repaired by Area 51.
